Markio’s Home on the Web
There are so many good things happening out there in Blogland right now. I’ve enjoyed the discussion over at Trewlife and Big Ideas. Laurie has provided some great reading in the last little while and the addition of Pamela and Amy has been stellar (I’d usually link in the text to all of these but the Mac has some limitations and I’m not willing to take the time when I’m this tired to write out all of the html to make up for those limitations).
In my own life, I’ve now caught 2 garders in as many weeks (which puts the grand total up to 3). It is a simple matter of most guys don’t realize how much air resistance those things have. I’ve been to 3 weddings in the last 4 weekends. I’ve written 3 papers in the last three weeks. I’ve been living in my new place for the last 6 weeks and I’ve been at my new job for 3 weeks. My life has been wild zany coo coo and I’m loving it. I’ve had my faith stretched by friends and “A new kind of Christian” by Brian MacLaren. It is one of those books that absolutely everyone should read. I didn’t think that it would be necessary but it is really as good as everyone says it is. I think that it is fair and even handed. It is written as a story so it is way easier reading than a lot of the stuff that is out there on the transitions in Western Christianity.
All of that being said, have a great night. When I started pushing for blogging I did it with the hopes that people would share their lives with each other and have some of those difficult conversations. I’m excited to see that all happening. It is raw at times but I love that. That means that we are really getting to see what each other are thinking.
