Markio’s Home on the Web
I´m not sure if I mentioned it but I´m working at Carmel House now. It is a group care home for boys aged 13-18. I did that job throughout my seminary years and it is one of the most difficult jobs I’d ever done. It is actually pretty awesome most of the time but it requires a whole lot of patience to work with up to 5 teenage guys. By the end of a set of shifts I’m pretty emotionally exhausted.
It is a pretty sweet job and it is a ministry as we are associated with MCC but I am looking forward to getting back into ministry and missions as soon as possible. LT and I have been working on developing a plan for planting a house church network and we are pretty close to launch. I’m really looking forward to that.
I doubt if many of you read this because I’m definately out of the habit of writing. It was kind of cool to have an office job that allowed me time during my breaks to get all of my communications done.
For the last month we have been moving into our new basement suite. It has been cool to be living on our own but we are not totally moved in yet. We are still waiting on buying a couch and all of that jazz. We might already have too much stuff for our space if you can believe that. Some seating would be nice but once we have that we’ll likely have to pear down on some other things. That will mainly be my job as I have way too much stuff. It was really great to have an office to store all of my books but I’m now stuck with a whack of books that are probably a little too much display items and not being properly used here.
Hopefully by the end of this month we will have a fully operational home base. Until then we will just enjoy the beauty of our numerous boxes.

We have moved into our basement suite. We have moved out of the ‘rents place (mostly). We are both working the same hours. We are pretty stoked about where things are at right now.
Let me just say this: moving is exhausting business. We moved from 3 places: mom and dad’s place, our housesitting residence and Darren’s basement. it was quite a lot of effort to get everything here. We’d like to thank Mom, dad, Kirk, uncle Doug, aunty Pauline, Darren and Ryan for making much of that work lighter for us and more enjoyable (things done together are so much more enjoyable).
I hope that the next move that we make would be to move into our own place because I would really like not to have to do this again.
